Call Me Blessed {In the Word Wednesday}

I think that God leads me to what he wants me to share each Wednesday morning.  If I let Him.  This morning I let Him... and so I came upon this blog, called Call Me Blessed, We Encourage - His Creation specifically, be sure to check out the blog for lot's more greats stuff:

Are you comfortable?

Comfortable in your own skin.

Are you comfortable with who God made you?

This has been on my heart lately and I know it's something everyone struggles with. The journey of finding our identity in Christ is different for all of us. I used to think it had something to do with age.
That somehow the addition of years brought wisdom. And while this may be true in some cases, I think it has more to do with your relationship with Christ.

I am not pretending I don't have any insecurities, that would be a lie. I am saying that Christ has brought me to a place where I realize He is not insecure about me. I am His creation, and He doesn't make mistakes.

Scripture tells us...
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."Psalm 139:13-16

When I think about my favorite people to spend time with they all have one thing in common. They know who they are, in Christ. I want to encourage you not to argue with what God thinks about you. He made you, and everything He makes is good. Do you believe that? Do you believe it's true about you?

There is such a ease and peace about just living the life God calls you to. Not worrying about what other people think or trying to keep up with a life someone else is leading.

I want to be simply...who God created me to be. I'm grateful to God for bringing me to this place.

The place where I seek Him first.

The place where I use the gifts and talents He has given me, appreciate the gifts and talents He has given others, and not confuse the two.

The place where I don't waste my time worrying about what other people think of how I'm dressed, how my house is decorated, or how my kids are dressed.

The place where I appreciate how God made me and appreciate how God made you.

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."Ephesians 2:10

I am committing to spend my time doing the work God has prepared me for, believing what He says about His creation. The rest... can worry about itself.
